Pre-Race Packet Pick Up: Saturday, July 12 6:00pm - 8:00pm @ the race site(across from the 400 club) or the morning of the race.

Location: Just 5 Minutes south of St. Cloud, MN, Pleasant Lake is located in Rockville, MN

Course:

  • Swim: 1/3 mile swim in Pleasant Lake
  • Bike: 15 miles through rural, well-marked roads with beautiful scenery of rolling hills and fields. All cyclists must observe MN traffic laws. ANSI or SNELL approved hard-shelled helmets are required. Drafting is prohibited. (see map of bike course)
  • Run: 3.1 miles down Pleasant Lake Road. Race will finish in City Park.

Fees:

Individual:
$45 if registration and fees postmarked prior to March 1, 2008
$55 if registration and fees postmarked prior to May 31, 2008
$65 if registration and fees postmarked prior to June 29, 2008

Relay: (three person teams)
$60 if registration and fees postmarked prior to March 1, 2008
$70 if registration and fees postmarked prior to May 31, 2008
$80 if registration and fees postmarked prior to June 29, 2008

There will be no refunds. Registration closes July 8th, 2007.

Registration:
Maximum number of entries: 400
No race day registration available.

Awards:
Our Great Granite awards ceremony will take place immediately after the race. Awards for the first 3 places for males and females in each of the following age groups:
19 and under,20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 and over

Other awards: first overall male and female, last finisher, oldest participant, and youngest participant.
Relay awards: top three places for each relay division

Event Schedule:

Sunday, July 13th, 2008
6:30 - 7:30 am: check in/body marking
7:40 am: mandatory pre-race meeting
8:00 am: race start

Awards:

1/2 hour after last finisher.

Directions:

Take Highway 23 West from St. Cloud. Turn left on County Road 6. Follow signs to Pleasant Lake (1.5 miles). Parking available at the 400 Club (County Road 6 and Pleasant Lake Rd.) Please look for parking attendants.

Pickle Events, which will be electronically timing this event, is led by Brad Pickle. Brad has directed numerous events over the past twelve years. This race will use Championchip timing, which ensures better accuracy of race results.
